dvd playback need GPU?

If I wanna substitute my comp dvd drive for a dvd player(connected to the TV) do I need a GPU too? Will a mobo integrated gpu work?

Can I use a 12 ft tv tuner cable, or will it degrade the picture too much?

You just need a Graphics Card w/ TV Out, you can get such card at Rs.2,200 for FX5200.

Yes it will, a TV-Out S-Video Cable is already supplied with FX5200; S-Video cables are known for their high uality broadcasting capabilties.
