It seems that our sole source of information on the new GeForce 7800 GTX with a 512MB frame buffer has been removed. Could it be that the green backs have put the shackles round our sole sources neck for dropping the hint?

We have just been alerted to a post on the Overclocker's UK forums, where the company's video card product manager states that they will be a launch partner for NVIDIA's upcoming 512MB GeForce 7800 GTX.

Hmm, Did anyone EVEN Cared to think, how much does current 6800Ultra costs? Rs.65,000/- for a single 512MB 6800U, there's no way i'd be able to afford two512MB GTXs. in any case, unless nVIDIA increases the bus to 512-Bit THERE WON'T Be single FPS Increase, (maybe 2-3 but that's it) perhpas you guys forgot when 512MB ATI X800XL was compared to "Lower" 256MB X850XT, the lateer kicked former's ass! having more Video memory doesn't give any sort of advantage, if a high speed 512-Bit Bus isn't there to support it.

There's no 7800Ultra. 7800Ultra was dropped due to heating issues. later rumors said, nVIDIA would launch the 7800Ultra to compete with ATI X1800XT but they didn't. there going to launch 512MB 7800GTX, which would hardly offer ANY Sort of performance increase, put simply, they first need to implent a 512-Bit Bus, or else, the card won't perform ANY higher than a normal 7800GTX, since teh addditional memory isn't actually used since it proves to be a overkill for a 256-Bit Bus.

Will 7800GTX bring down the prices for 6800GTX substantially?
