Ah yes, X-Fi, damn it's getting freakish weird, you guys keep posting the stuff i am about to get and people would think i am bluffer:) these cards are VERY Expensive, the reason two top ends cards, Fata1ty and Pro Edition are so special is because they have X-Ram, what's X-Ram? well, just like VRam, X-Ram stores local sound instructions for games, and at this time of writing, ONLY and ONLY Battlefield 2 supports X-Ram, not a single game else. i am getting Fata1ty Edition, or should you say trying to get:D

Audigy 2? It's pretty simple to get, where do you live? just contact Creative India, and they would tell you, yout nearest branch, BTW it is currently selling for Rs.5,240.

1 ms latency with 0% processor load using ASIO to run softsynths now thats impressive! Though emulating high end audio hardware causes some frame rate drop off... They probably have the system set up to bottleneck the CPU.

Im hopefull this hardware is leveraging at least some of the ideas behind the Aureal 3d audio engine that creative bought out so long ago, sounds like they might be but with so few compeditors in the high end PC audio market they really havn't been pushed and have shown that without presure they are seriously averse to inovating.

That's were the X-Ram will do it's wonders, however, despite all the eye candy, price is just too high, and for whatever reason The Fatal1ty Edition, Doesn't even come with any games, despite it's priced just like a 6800GT, $279,if Creative take $100 Out, it would make a PERFECT Sound card.

creative X-Fi sound cards are excellent support for headphones too.

Headphones..... IMO, Headphones actually Bottleneck High End Sound Card's Capabilty, unless someone buys Sony DS-8000 Headphones, The Combo of X-Fi +HP wouldn't exactly give a superb performance. IMHO, use Good quality Logitech Speakers, Not creative! they lakc feature, a Excellent match would be Logitech ZS5300 5.1 Speakers, they sell for 14.5k but offer out-of-this world performance:P

ofcourse with the soound card so good you would need hi-end hardware to support it. the whole setup will cost a fortunre though.

IMO, Rs.20,600 for X-Fi Sound Card (Fatal1ty i guess...) and Rs.32,450 For Sony DS8000 Headphones. Rs.53,003 just for Sound Setup, thanks, but no thanks! i am better off with ZalMan RS6F+M Headphones, cost Rs.3.5k and offer excellent sound quality:D tell you what, if X-Fi Costs Even a Penny more than 14.5k, i am not buying it!

Sony DS8000 Headphones. Rs.53,003 is that price right? my entire comp costs "LESS" than that!

No! 32,540 dude.
EDIT: Well it seems i was wrong, the Fatal1ty Sound Card is priced at Rs.22,000 (Indian Price)it would be launched In Mid November or early december, god damn  why don't they price it 22,00000 i don't think those added two 00 are going to make any diffrence! then again, the card sells for 18k in the US! i cna get it from Us but with ABSOLUTELY no warranty! i am waiting for it's "official" launch
