the best thing would be for you to visit the "tech area" in your city and get the absolute latest prices since these things change so often.

400 gb sata harddrive will cost u around 5800 to 6500

1 gb kingston ram will cost you around 10,000 to 12,000 (for 1 stick 400 mhz)

I believe you're terribly mistaken justin. A 400gb sata drive ('cuda) will be a bomb. I got a 160 SATA for 4.2k around 3 months back. A 400gb might obviously cost much more than 10k. (15kish)

Also kingston hyperX will probably not be available here and value ram (value crap) is not worth the money. Even hynix d43 is far better, being the cheapest. Transcend is also cheap and slightly overclockable. 1gb stick of hynix wont be more than 3.5k at the most.

A Benq dvd writer would be optimum as it gives a great combination of speed and quality with a good firmware. It might cost around 3k

EDIT :
These prices are as quoted in Lamington road, Mumbai.
Also Justin do not give ridiculous prices if u are not aware of them.

yes thats whats so stoopid about harddrive prices

Sata

100 = 2800

160 = 3500

200 = 4500

400 = 6800 approx* (havent check the prices yet)

so as you can see the bigger u get the cheaper it gets unless its just been launched the prices for harddisk have fallen since three months man
