i thought 7800 gtx would have like 512 ram but it has the same 256 as 6800 gt :( but there seems to be overall improvments in this one but is it worth the money? or worth upgrading from 6800 to 7800?

But, guys Transparency Supersampling is an absolute treat to behold. I just checked out some clips of the Unreal Engine 3 runnin on a 7800GTX and it absolutely blew me away!
Though there isn't a change big enough to warrant dumping your 6800s.

Well the 7800gtx blows away the 6800U in HDR rendering .. even two 6800U's in SLI

7800GTX isa technology marvel, despite the fact that it has 256MB of Ram, having 24 Pixel Pipelines means Incredible performance, and yes it's a fact, because of this, the 7800GTX is 2x powerfull than two 6800U in SLi, due to it's 302 Trasistors and slighty clocked Ram, running at 1.2GHz. about the fat guy, he is mad Mod Mike, as NVIDIA Call it, he's basically a Hardcore Gamer which Mods fellow gamer's pc at nights, much like Tooth Fairy if you may.

Dude ATI has announced that it is now going to focus on mobile graphics solution more than pc, so I don't think they'll do much than fool around with their older architectures. On the other hand Nvidia must be thrilled with that bit of news because they are left with no true competitor.

I think Nvidia 7800 would be really cool but really expensive and so I'll stop thinkin about it . :(

raj ur a rich dude man. 2 7800s? what are you gonna run, a simulation of the nasa space shuttles :)

Actually, NASA doens't use Graphics Card much, since all the analizing demands, a CPU which can chunk out teraflops of data and have 5TB+ Ram. also, youc an't actually simulate Space Shuttles, not virtually anwyas, they use machines and many weid tests, for example, to astronauts to expirence zero gravity or otherwise, get them used to it, they use WWII Bomber Planes to go to 10,000 Feet+ going at that height means there's no gravity and thus every thing under plane starts to fly, just like in Space:D about the card, well, actually, i am no FRb, the thing is, i was and am tired of games running at crappy resolutions on my Pc, i'd ahve to run every game @640x480:( due to my Fx5200, by buying two 7800GTXs, i wouldnt have to upgrade my Pc for atleast three years and in that time, i will be on High Res Frenzy!:D no the only crib i have is availbilty, as we allnow, mortal beings lik you and me don't actually go and bye 7800GTX, i am really worried about the card in my city, the only hoep i have is my Computer Assembler, he did getme Fx5200 in under 1 Day, but that was Fx5200 and these Dual 7800GTXs! the diffrence is like heaven and hell, oh god, please i beg you, let me get my paws on 7800GTXs.... please!

Well i think nvidia has done a really good job but just wait till the r520s of ati are released which will have 32 pixel pipelines and dual memory core and ramdac speed . plus the ati motherboards are out too so just check them all out Sorry you are wrong, ATI 1800XT ahs 16 Pixel Piplines and 8 Vertex Shaders, but ithas a 512-Bit bus with 1.5GHz of Memory, about the Dual RAMDac Thing, dude, every Mid end and high end card availble has those. also, ATI can't put 32 PPs, because the would result in 400+ Million Trasisitors and the card will look like a Motherboard! since current gen technology sin't advance enough to put that kind of tarsistors intoa card and make it small. that's why 7800GTX has 24 Pixel Pipeline sin the first place.
