Samsung Electronics has introduced the Serial ATA II hard drives that offer native 3.0 GB per second (Gbps) I/O transaction capabilities, which is double the speed, offered by current serial ATA drives, in addition to Serial ATA Native Command Queuing.

The company is currently offering 80 GB Serial ATA II hard drives including its new 80GB HD080HJ, 120GB HD120IJ and 160GB HD160JJ capacities.
