go for an AMD 64 bit one.....better and cooler than intel
and i guess if u can compromise on da sound card and speakers...u can get 1gb ddr (400mhz)...and can also afford a geforce gt 6600......
and for mouse go for a microsoft intellimouse 1.1....alsi go for plenty of fans...choose ur cabinet wisely....

dude are u sure Geforce FX6600GT PCi Express costs 8k cause i think it costs around 12k. IBox cabinets are nice but instead of the combo i say go for a dvd writer since this is will be a brand new computer i thinhk it should have a dvd writer. Nowdays everbody is burnind data onto dvds rather than cds as it has more quite storage.

If he purchases a x850xt with say even a A64 3000+, the system will be cpu limited so there will be no point in buying the extreme end gpu.. I suggest a x800 xl for 16-18k would be great.. the config suggested by techtree few months ago might be appropriate for you.

The a64+ k8n combo is as low as 9k now so yeah i guess it will still remain below 60k.. as long as he doesnt want an lcd monitor or something.. (also 1gig memory is just 4k now.. winbond that too)
